Spring allergy

Spring allergy refers to those allergies that occur during spring season. The duration of the spring season differs from one region to the other. The allergens that are known to cause spring allergy symptoms like hay fever, allergic rhinitis, like pollen, molds, dust are at its peak during the spring summer months. These allergens are airborne particles and get carried swiftly by the warm wind of spring and summer. Also in spring trees and grass are pollinating. Hence spring allergy is also known as allergy pollen seasons because pollen is the main culprit allergen in triggering allergies. Allergic rhinitis and hay fever, which occur frequently during the spring season, are characterized by swelling of the mucus lining of the nasal and sinus regions. Hay fever affects the nose, throat, larynx, trachea and bronchioles.
Some experts observe it after reading case histories of people with a history of allergy and asthma, that there is a correlation between tics and seasonal allergies. During spring allergy, tics have been found to occur more frequently. Common examples of motor and vocal tic are eye blinking and throat clearing.
The treatment for the above mentioned allergies involve controlling the inhalation of these allergens by various methods and by medications.
