Companion Gardening

The idea of companion gardening grew from the need to growing plants in places that lack space. The practice of growing two or more different varieties of plants so that they grow in close propinquity to one another is referred to as companion gardening. The theory of companion gardening is based on the fact that if plants are planted in nearness to each other the possibility of the plants helping one another is quite high. The plant can complement the other plant growing next to it by releasing the by products which can be the raw material for the companion plant to grow and vice versa. Since most of these by products of the plants that are given away are healthy micro nutrients for the plants it is a process of natural gardening in which there is no role for the gardener with regards to maintenance. Another advantage of companion gardening is that some plants keep away the pests so the other plant also is benefitted and is not attacked by insects. The square foot gardening in Texas is a perfect example of companion gardening, which not only has spatial advantages but also the fact that square foot gardening is a more beneficial approach to gardening.
